Metacognition
Today in mrs.Torie's class, we learned and did some activities about metacognition. One of the activities we did was the "Think Aloud" activity, I found it really interesting. I noticed that my partner was really concentrated on making the clay animal and he was speaking to himself; I also noticed that in myself and mrs.Torie. The thing that was hard about this activity is that I discovered that I still tried to control what I was talking about unconsciously. Some things that I learned about my partner in this activity is that he is a really concentrative person, he concentrates really well when he was making the clay figure; therefore the clay figured turned out nicely. Another thing I also noticed was that he worked really fast. He finished his figure before the timer rang and as i said, his work also came out nicely. In my opinion, metacognition might help me as a student by strengthening my ability of critical thinking which I am naturally weak at.

You have made a clear connection between metacognition and critical thinking. I noticed you did not share much about when you were doing the 'Thinking Aloud'. What was that like?
