Floating Toilets

Because of the flood, people in some areas are forced to live with dirty water; therefore i believe that hygiene is the most important issue right now.  There have been many new inventions and products produced during this time focusing on the hygiene of the people and the water including EM ball, multi purpose spray, floating toilets etc.  In my opinion, the best product and the most useful one so far is the floating toilet.  Floating toilets have been distributed to flood-hit areas around Thailand and has been extremely useful.  Looking at another side, without floating toilets, majority of the people would be forced to release their waste into the water causing the water to be even more polluted than it already is.  With polluted water, diseases come.  With diseases, there is a huge possibility for the death rate relating to flood to increase dramatically.  For prevention, the floating toilet is invented.

  1. Hi Pim, Your focused response demonstrates your awareness of the importance of public health. Is medicine or public health something you have interest in down the road? I too think the floating toilets are an incredible invention. When I was in Nonthaburi volunteering with the Red Cross, I saw my first one in a flooded village. Anything that helps people stay healthy and retain their dignity is pretty brilliant in my eyes!

  2. Hello Pim! :D
I've read your blog post and I totally agree with you! I also chose the floating toilet as the most creative innovation created. I agree with what you said that if there are no floating toilets, then the people will just have no other choice than to release their waste into the flood water, which will turn the flood water to be even more polluted than it already is. Then, diseases will spread and death rates will increase. With this invention, I think the flooded people are living their lives much easier. All in all, I think this is a great blog post! You explained a lot and I liked how it is very organized. :)
